"I felt the rain down in Africa"

RKZ and I are in discussion as to whether this drool pattern on Buck's chest looks more like Africa or South America. I think it's a miracle and one of those continents is trying to speak to us (ha. ha.) Yes, you'll also notice that Buck is wearing a child's rosary in this picture. What can I say? He's Madonna with a spitty shirt.

Bad news for the Joads today (my parents) - their plumbing has gone south and it looks like they might need to spend a few thousand dollars fixing it. Seriously a bummer. If you're a praying folk, take a minute and ask that it's not so expensive. My poor mom has been finding interesting places to use the toilet. Good thing that there are so many hotels in Reno. I guess she's been frequenting the lobby for a day. Pa Joad is moving the motorhome back from winter storage, so at least they'll have a place to pee in peace.

Buck and I spent the day playing with Charlie ("cheer up Charlie" - Classic Willy Wonka...always in my mind). Turns out that Buck loves train sets. It's really good that I take him to play with other kids because otherwise, the kid would still be chewing on stuffed animals. I guess we're on a hunt for a 1 1/2 year old trainset tomorrow. Along with Buck's first hair cut. You'll notice he's getting nappy in the pictures. Soon - he'll be looking like a little dorky kid with short hair. Classic.
