"I was already gone"

There has been little time to post this week as I've been heading out at 7:45am every day to help with Vacation Bible School (VBS). Buck & Clemmie have really been enjoying the 3 year old classes. There are a lot of songs and crafts and snacks FILLED with sugar (which they rarely - if ever have). I think the hardest day so far was the day that 2 junior high leaders were caught climbing on the roof by the parish Priest after they stole all of the gummi fish off of the "rafts" of rice krispie treats. The same boys proceeded to dismantle a bar-b-que and try to hit each other with the metal legs. Needless to say, I have a couple of sociopaths in my group. The young kids seem to love it and the older "leaders" seem to be really loving the power. Except for those 2 boys - mom forced them to come and so I am now suffering for the redemption of their souls :) I had the last laugh when we separated them and made them be the "buddies" of our 2 worst acting toddlers. Awesome. One 3 year old was a consummate "escaper" and seemed to be constantly sneaking away from #1 sociopath. Suddenly, #1 sociopath was the living example of "what is correct behavior." Very funny, really.

It's over now - VBS, I mean.

My parents and SDJ have arrived and we have been doing a lot of not much. How does it always seem to take a long time to organize nothing? We'll be organizing more of that as the day goes on. More as more family arrives!
