"O promise me that someday you and I...."
Our "family day" trip to the Royal Tyrell Museum. Alberta is home to many Dinosaurs!!

So...what'cha been doin?
It's been a longer while than I hoped since my last post...about 3 weeks actually. Thank goodness it's almost Lent. I have a better track record with Lenten promises than I do with New Year's resolutions. Does "promising to post on my blog" count as fasting? I'm guessing not.
A LOT has happened since Jan. 28 (slight digression that I have a small child screaming at my leg right now). Much news.
First, I will post soon about our trip to Mexico last week. I turned 40 to very little fanfare (and a lot of beer). It was a trip alone for RKZ and I (along with our good friends, B & P and a one-night visit with the Duke and Duchess). We missed the kids by the end of the trip, but loved the days of talking and touring with some time to be alone together.
Next, my brother (Coach K1) and his wife (Hoonka) had their third child on Feb. 13. His name is Teigan (spelling to be checked). Mom and baby are doing well and we're so excited to meet the new little guy hopefully soon.
Lastly, there have been some life changes in my extended family and family of in-laws... illness, pregnancies, babies born and other non-specifics that will keep the guessing alive (none of these involve myself or RKZ directly). How is that for a random "catch-up" post? I will try to bring more details later.
Today, we're off to a pancake breakfast - it's "pancake Tuesday" in Canada and the UK in general (I think). The day before Ash Wednesday is traditionally the day to use up all butter, sugar and eggs and pancakes are the way to do that - so here, we'll eat pancakes today. Unless I'm not in the mood to get dressed and go out. That could happen as well. :)
