For Sale - Day 17

We did hear back from yesterday (or Sunday's) people - again with, "The house is perfect, it's just too noisy in the back." To clarify, we live in a quiet "woodsy" suburban neighborhood. People choose it because it is a bit like a mountain town (little shops/coffee/wine bar close by). Our home faces a Highway. This highway would be nothing in any of the major cities I have live in. It never even crossed my mind that it would be "loud" to have our bedrooms facing a highway. To be clear, there is a large green space behind our house, the highway is probably 1/2 a mile away. This, it seems, is too close and loud for the 9 people who have come to see our house. All of my Calgary friends have scoffed at this. One of my girlfriends is from Toronto (Canadian New York) and she laughed out loud when I told her. She said, "You just need someone from out of town who would think it's actually quiet." And to a California girl (at least by adoption), it is really quiet. But it can be loud in the summer with the windows open when the big trucks rattle down the street...but only for the baby whose window faces toward the backyard/highway.

I keep telling myself that it's only been 17 days. 17 days! And we had more people look at 9:15 this morning. Maybe the high way was quiet then ;)

Not nearly through the Easter shots yet!
