"Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas!"

We're off to Reno today for Christmas and then to Colorado for New Year's. Not home for a bit, but I'll be posting after.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. WE hope to see you all very soon!

"Because we need a little Christmas - right this very minute!"

Two days of stomach flu (for ME, of course) and a weekend in bed right when we can't afford to spend a weekend doing nothing. Such is my life these days. I swear that I just stare at our house and the giant (practically un-packed) mess that it is and think: "In about 8 weeks, we won't even live here." That really helped after I threw up all over our Master bedroom. It's a gross part of the story, but gets funnier every day. Poor RKZ, he was Mister Mom all weekend and then had to spend the night in the sick ward. I am a bit better today, so I'm posting and packing. Poor Buck is completely exhausted after all the shows and parties lately. He is currently sleeping soundly (at 3:00pm) while his 2 year old brother has spent two hours bouncing in his crib and singing. There is something wrong with this. We are going to spend the entire Christmas vacation attempting to tire out our toddler (good luck, you say?). Oh wait, the screaming has just begun. Enjoy these pictures of Thunder at happier times :)

Buck's Christmas song (Kinder)

2 posts in one day! Can you believe it? This is Buck's class singing "Manger Mystery" in their Christmas play today. If you're familiar with Buck's friend, Quinn, her little brother is on the far left snapping his fingers. Hilarious. Buck's head is right next to the teacher's podium and I don't think he really sings in this clip. I have another one, but it takes forever to download - I'm not that much of a stage mom!

"California's been good to me"

So, I promised some news and ... here it is! (at least 1/2 of it) Many of you will not be surprised to learn that I am expecting our third child in May. This is actually a scan from 3 weeks ago, the baby has already changed a lot (I am 18 weeks now). We had another ultrasound yesterday but I can't find the CD (of course. Pregnancy brain). So - here is a fuzzy picture of an unrecognizable fetus - and it's all mine.

Our second bit of news is that RKZ has been transferred back to California (HB) as of February of this year. It all has to do with taxes and international companies and blah blah blah. Suffice it to say that our little tribe of 4 (and 1/2!) will be moving back to where we started out together in about 8 or 9 weeks. We are celebrating - but sad to leave so much here.

That's our news. More tomorrow maybe!

"I go back to December all the time"

If I could describe all that is happening in our lives right now, I think anyone who still reads this would be amazed. So much secrecy on the blog (sorry) but I promise (soon) to be able to spill my guts in a TMZ/Entertainment Tonight kind of way (ha. ha.). We are currently in celebration AND mourning for so many things in our freezing cold but beautiful Calgary.
I want to right them all here, but it's not the right time. Thanks for your patience.
This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of some of my all-time favorite men. This is my brother-in-law's wedding in November. "Uncle" is the farthest left, then Rye-Rye (cousin of RKZ), my beloved making some strange comment and HAB's husband (another bro-in-law), Little-Bitty :) he'll hate that name. This picture just makes me smile.
These shots are of our house/surrounding country. Although it's very cold, it's also really beautiful. I'm melancholy about Calgary these days.

Our street - at noon today.
