"Bullets and Blue Sky"

OK - on the house front...somehow I am always taking pictures of H-P and not the renovations. We are stuttering into a move into our new house. Our things (furniture, etc) are there and we've had a final walk-through of the bed rooms with Jerry, our contractor. Still, the floors are covered in plastic and paper (protective) and our furniture is basically unassembled. We found out that our dryer's air hose was lost and then we bought the wrong kind at Home Depot. We don't know where our bedding is, so we can't wash anything anyway :) We have come to the end of our stay at my aunt and uncle's, so we will be moving in today no matter what. Here are some pictures of my favorite new addition:

H-P is 5 weeks today. Insane - he's already older than Thunder when T came to us. Baby time passes so quickly while home time drags. that's the nature of it all, I guess.

3 boys are hungry - I gotta' go!

"A House the size of Home"

Song is something I heard on Sirrus.

Just a quick update about us (for me more than anyone).

The Joads have gone home (much to the joy of my Grandma J as well as the aunt and uncle who were staying with my Grandma J). From the sounds of it, my parents miss our boys LOADS, but they are happy to be home.

We miss my parents, but it is also nice to be our own little family for awhile. RKZ has been working "half-days" this week. It's hard to describe exactly what this means. He has things that must be done and we work around that.

Our house is nearly done (Phase 1 - no kitchen until July). We are living at K & G's until Thursday. Friday morning (and forever after) we will be sleeping and living in our own home. It's been nice to practice being a mommy of 3 and all that this entails in the comfort of K&G's home. I'm still a bit freaked out by it all.

H-P (the baby) is wonderful. He is nearly 5 weeks now - that "fussy before the storm" period - but H-P has been the easiest of the 3 by far. Breastfeeding is a mixed blessing after 2 boys who were 1/2 breastfed and 1/2 formula. I keep telling myself that it will all be over before I know it and not to wish it away. H-P is still waking every 2 hours in a 24 hour period; but he falls right asleep after eating at night. This is honestly a first for my boys. H-P also looks so much like RKZ. We know that his eyes can change for up to a year, but he's a blue-eyed cutey so far.

Thunder LOVES H-P a little too much. Have to watch the over-kissing and touching. I'm also amazed by how quickly Buck has grown up through all of this. He even puts the pacifier into the baby's mouth when he's crying (and we don't even ask Buck to do that!).

Lastly, I miss my friends and dates with RKZ. Soon, I tell myself.

"Don't stop - believin'!"

Good News! All of our things are arriving from Calgary on Friday! We will be able to move into our new house tomorrow!! Of course, our house isn't finished being remodeled, so we won't have a kitchen.. but we'll have TOYS, which is a big deal in "mom-world." Thankfully, we'll be staying with K & G for another week so that the workers can finish and we can get things turned on. What would we do without family? (I can't even imagine).
Speaking of which, after nearly 6 months of living together (seriously, with a break of only about 2 weeks), my parents will be returning to Reno and we'll have to run our family on our own. It's been so nice to have them, but I know they're excited to get their lives back as well.
Here are the joads at the new little Mermaid ride in California Adventure.

Here are the boys and I at the same ride.  H=P is crying. I gotta go

"A little less talk and a lot more action""

Today H-P (our newest) is 3 weeks old. We went to his well-baby check up and he's already 9 lbs 5 oz! He's gained 2 pounds and he's 23 inches long/tall! That puts H-P squarely in the 100% of height and weight (basically - huge). It's hard for us to judge with Thunder the giant 2 year old around but I was so happy to hear that H-P is doing so well. It was reassuring. As far as daily life is concerned, it's about the same. We are still living in a Residence Inn - my parents are still here to help and the big brothers still think they're on some sort of vacation. We are in a bit of a struggle with our contractors - but I think it's a normal part of construction. Still, it's a bummer as we wind up our "HGTV" experience. Here are some shots of what we've been up to these 2 months:
Thunder and Buck at an Angels' baseball game. They are loving baseball!

Pre H-P, we all rode the Toy Story Ride and Buck and I (and H-P) posed for a pic.

HP :)

Wednesday, the boys, Joads and I went to preview the Little Mermaid ride at Disneyland. Buck was embarrassed because I was singing along with the music.
