"Make you glad you came"

Day 2 of the trip to Catalina with B and P. It was a quick trip, and we had to fly out the next day. Here we are at the helipad for the return trip.

 So, on the way back there was a couple who had to get back to the mainland quickly, so we shared the helicopter. B got to sit very close to a stranger in the front.

 Here is a cruise ship and below is the Queen Mary. The only thing I didn't get pictures of was the whale we saw from the air! It was awesome! I had to look instead of take a picture, so I just remember it in my mind :)

 Later in the day, once we were home, we took a hike with the boys in some nearby foothills.

 Because they have 5 kids of their own (older), B and P are great helping with our kids. They'll appreciate that.

The boys loved the hike and we loved having some time to do it. We get wrapped up in all that still needs to be fixed and unpacked at our house and we don't do all of the free time things we'd like to do. Our trailer did just arrive (after a year of storage in Calgary), so we are hoping to get some camping going very soon.

Finally, it's Friday. RKZ has a work trip this weekend and until Tues of next week, but it's still nice to have one more week of school down. I just finished a book called "Still Life" and it was really good mostly because the author is Canadian and some of its aspects were so uniquely Canadian that it made me happy to read it.
