"I just want to celebrate..."

The ice man cometh as our Canadian Safari Guide is given a free pass from the hospital just to attend our Thanksgiving day celebrations. He had to return to his unit later in the evening, but it was a great sign that he could come out at all. We were very excited!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the United States! I realize that none of you will be looking at your computers today (it's a day late anyway); but I figured that if you review the posts you've missed, you might enjoy knowing what we did here in the great white north. Also, my Canadian friends don't have these days off, so here is (finally) something to read from me.

Ma & Pa Joad and Gma Jody have been here all week & I've been sleeping in like a pro while attending my mom's groups sans baby. It's been a nice break for me (although RKZ has had to work up this week). Of course, my parents are well on their way to creating a monster. The child doesn't have a calm moment when he is not being carried around or playing musical instruments or creating a "train" with Grandma Joad and his walking toys. I'm afraid that Buck will be sorely disappointed when dull mommy takes over again tomorrow morning.

I hereby promise to post everyday from now on. I am feeling remiss in my lack of posts. I have saved some photos from this week to fill in any dull spots over the coming days - so if you are a regular reader, there should be some relatively entertaining stories over the next while. The first installment is actually a collection of our Thanksgiving dinner pictures. We were blessed to have Shawn's friend/co-worker and his family for dinner - as well as CSG.
Laura & Greg with RKZ in our dining room.
CSG, Gma J & Ma Joad on the other side of the table. CSG spent a good deal of the night entertaining us with stories of Ireland.
Taylor (daughter of Greg & Laura). She was a great help with Buck before he passed out from fatigue. She is a first-grade domino.
Mason (Taylor's older brother). Mason was excited about drinking his Diet Cokes as quickly as possible.

More Thanksgiving photos tomorrow - today we're off to visit Santa (yeah!)
