"Well I may be a hillbilly, but I'm just a country boy at heart!'
This will be my last post for the next week as we're taking off for HAWAII in about 1/2 an hour. I wanted to get up some more of the pictures from our Banff/Lake Louise camping trip. We had such a good time exploring - and the summer scenery is incredible. I did want to say a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESSICA!! We're hoping to see you and P soon. :)
The mountains around Lake Louise.
SDJ across from the Fairmont Lake Louise hotel. It's on the far side of the lake. We hiked/walked to this side.
An Inukshuk constructed on the side of the Lake. They are following us throughout our Canadian travels. A little spirit guidance never hurt anyone.
SDJ & Buck hiking beside a little waterfall (which you can't see). They were good buddies on this trip.
Dad was trying to prove his toughness when we went "off roadin' " on the horse trail - diverting from the easier lake path.
Lake Louise in the summer. See past blogs for winter/spring Lake Louise shots.
SDJ took some great pics of the views around the lake. This also gets a small idea of the crowds milling around.
SDJ, Buck, RKZ and me on the bank of hte lake. There is a nice hike/walk around the lake that was good for the stroller.
Beautiful!

It is possible to rent canoes on the lake and paddle instead of walk. Sadly, the max for 4 people is two adults and two kids under 55 lbs. We though that our math worked it out as Buck is only 30 and SDJ makes up the difference, but they said "no go."
SDJ on the other side of Lake Louise. This is really an incredibly beautiful place no matter what time of year - but summer is hotter :)
The Gradys at Lake Lousie. Buck carrying the ever-present cup of milk.
All is well (and the same) here. If it is possible, we are actually entering a more busy time in the next few months. I had a girlfriend say that "September and October are the new August." I couldn't agree more. We are struggling to find a day to celebrate Buck's second birthday this month or next!! So sad when a birthday has to be postponed. Anyone think that Buck would be happy with a birthday in January when it's really cold and there isn't that much else to do?
