"Come back to me, with all your heart..."
Long lost photos of our trip to see the Torch running across Canada (in downtown Calgary)

A much better picture of the runner with the torch
he boys show off their torch loot. Good old Coca Cola handing out the good stuff.
Teachable moment - the runners get to keep the torch they run with...and it usually then comes to a school so that students can take pictures with it - pretty cool.
Today's Ash Wednesday - or as I like to call it, "Um, excuse me, I think you have some dirt on your forehead" day. This is the day I do not call anyone unless I absolutely have to and I just assume it's me if I think someone is driving badly. The fasting makes me peevish :) But we Catholics are still pretty wimpy with our 2 days of fasting compared to Ramadaan - so I'm not one to complain. Jesus goes super easy on people if you ask me. Thunder and I went to Mass this morning. I think I heard someone say something but mostly I just made sure he didn't run up the aisle while a friend's 2 year old ate all the snacks I brought. It was chaos, I tell ya.
Another important event happening now are the 2010 Olympics. We're loving them. Buck and I watched the Snowboard Cross finals yesterday (taped men's and live women's). Buck has decided that snowboarding is the coolest sport there is. I have to say, it did make RKZ and I start talking about going snowboarding one of these weekends (duh - we're in Canada!). It's just hard with a 13 month old around. Babysitting doesn't start until 18 months most places, and it seems strange to us to leave our baby with strangers for a day of boarding. Maybe I can get my mom to come up for ANOTHER week so that my life can be a perpetual holiday. What do you think? Good thing I turned the comments off on this blog.
