"Used to build air raid shelters out of sticks and leaves and spend the whole day underneath"

As proof that I will never be a timely blogger - or even one that offers any kind of new ideas to anyone - I am now posting pictures of our Ash Wednesday craft. This was, in itself, done about a week after Ash Wednesday, so do with it what you will.

Here's the idea: The boys make a little "crown of thorns" out of play dough and toothpicks (I stole this idea from another mom). When the boys do something really nice or let someone else choose something (a little boy sacrifice), then they pull out a tooth pick. As Thunder says, "It makes Jesus feel better, right, because I do something nice?" That's it - Grady philosophy at it's best.
Buck's had to be black (he's nothing if not authentic)
We were lucky Thunder's looked like a ring at all :)
The boys also painted their plates purple (Lent color)

H-P hung out on the picnic blanket during craft time. The boys made H-P a little golden cross (because we believe babies already make Jesus happy just by being here).
 Playdough play continued...
 crazy crawler keeping mom crazy!

 H-P's cross.
Sing us a song, piano man!

H-P's little shirt says our last name (a present from the Duke and Duchess). We love it because all 3 boys have them.

In current news, H-P is pulling up to standing whenever he can. He was standing under a folding table today during a meeting I had with some moms from school. Almost couldn't get him out. Life is getting even MORE busy, if that's possible!
