"It's a beautiful day!"
Here are some "glamour shots" that we took the other day - very cute photos of the cousins. We had a nice day yesterday - SDJ watched Buck for a bit while I actually attended daily Mass on my own! Amazing how much I actually got to hear.
SDJ and Buck had played about 20 different games and SDJ had everything well in hand while I was out. It was a nice mini-break for me, and we were all able to pile in the cool mini van and head to the local Superstore for some groceries after I got home.
SDJ tells me that she and her mom (supermodel D) can shop in about 30 minutes. I am lucky to get out of a store within an hour. True to form, it took us about an hour to finish and by that time, Buck had demanded to get out of the cart (he did alright walking, actually) - but he did pick up a "choo choo train" along the way. I used it to bribe him back into the cart and we were able to finish shopping.
In the afternoon, the three of us took another bike ride through the woods - we explored the "back trails" and just had a great time. Of course, SDJ needs a better bike than RKZ's adult clunker (RKZ would be sad at this description as he loves his bike)...my plan was to try and find an inexpensive kids' (or small lady's) bike today. Of course, this will have to be postponed as the neighbors have invited us to a lake day today in Canmore (a close village).
I'll take some pictures of the "lake day" this afternoon. In my heart, I am hoping that it continues to be as cloudy as it is now and we can get some necessary shopping done (the original plan for today). It's currently in the 60's (F)/16 (C), but everything can change in 2 hours. We'll see, I guess. Never thought I'd hope for a cloudy, rainy day!
